Our History
Cirrus has been the quiet achiever in the development of Australia's largest fixed wireless broadband network.
- January 2005: Cirrus launched its pilot network in the Central Coast of NSW
- May 2005: Cirrus commenced commercial operations targeting the delivery of telecommunications services (primarily broadband Internet) to domestic and business customers in Regional Australia
- March - December 2006: Launched networks in the Sunshine Coast and Orange, closely followed by Lithgow, Bathurst, Wagga Wagga, Hervey Bay, Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Rockhampton, the Central Highlands of Victoria, the Central Region of South Australia and Newcastle and the Hunter
- July 2007: Acquired and integrated Chariot's wireless business in Adelaide and the Northern Rivers area of NSW
- August 2007: Acquired and integrated CommsLogic's network in the Southern part of Brisbane and the Gold Coast
- November 2007: Acquired and integrated LiSP's wireless network in Lithgow
- May 2008: Acquired and integrated Wirefree's network in the Southern Tablelands of NSW and the Coffs Harbour region
- July 2008: Acquired and integrated Unisky's (previously WBS') network in Southeast Queensland
- January 2009: Launched a new network focussed at business customers in Sydney
- August 2009: Built and launched next generation wireless broadband platform in Ingham and Bowen in Queensland
- January 2010: Launched Telecommunications Services Partner Program
- March - July 2010: Designed and implemented Charles Sturt University's (CSU) Wi-Fi network covering 11 campuses and 800 buildings.
